Assistant Principal

Mr. Whitfield is from Cantonment, Florida and is a graduate of Tate high school. After high school, he attended Wallace State Community College in Hanceville, Al and was a part of the baseball program that won back to back Alabama Junior College State championships. He returned home and completed his bachelors degree ,B.A- International Studies in National Security and diplomacy, at the University of West Florida. He later earned his masters degree in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education. Mr. Whitfield  has been an educator for eleven years, ten of which were in Escambia County, Florida as a high school teacher for seven years and a middle school teacher for three. While teaching high school, he taught physical education, social studies, and business education. At the middle school level, he taught social studies. In addition to teaching, Mr. Whitfield was also a high school baseball and football coach for fourteen years.  In January 2021, Mr. Whitfield made the jump across the state line and accepted the assistant principal job at Neal Middle. 

When he is not at school he likes to spend time with his wife, Amber, who is an Art teacher in Escambia County, Florida and his daughter, Aria. He likes to fish and hunt and enjoys watching his Texas Longhorns on Saturdays.
